Overview
The purpose of this event is to share advances in heart failure prevention and biomarkers. In addition, to assemble some of the best leading cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, nurses, and psychologists to provide updates on the very latest clinical, scientific, genetic, behavioral and technological advances.

Objectives
  1. Identify major updates to the new heart failure guidelines.
  2. Apply best practices to the management of patients with HFrEF and HFpEF including in the acute and chronic clinical settings.
  3. Understand the indications and contraindications for the management of heart failure patients with valvular lesions with percutaneous interventions vs a surgical approach.
  4. Identify the so-called “zebras” of heart failure and how to diagnose and manage these particular conditions.
  5. Understand contemporary updates in acute and durable mechanical circulatory support.
  6. Understand the differences between heart transplant organ donation after cardiac vs brain death including the challenges involved.
  7. Identify pertinent new findings targeting the prevention and epidemiology of heart failure.
  8. Describe how to integrate race and social determinants of health into risk factor models for heart failure prevention and progression.
  9. Describe unique challenges in providing care to patients with heart failure who live in rural versus urban settings.
  10. Describe potential issues in physical function and mental health in patients with heart failure, including older patients.
  11. Identify indications, benefits, and challenges in telehealth versus clinic visits for patients with heart failure.
  12. Describe how machine learning and artificial intelligence can enhance quality of care of patients with heart failure.
