Overview
The focus this year will be on the multi-disciplinary approach to evaluation, care and intervention for a spectrum of congenital diseases including single ventricle heart defect, congenital diaphragmatic hernia, persistent fetal lung lesion, non-immune hydrops/hydrothorax, hemolytic disease, twin-twin transfusion syndrome, selective intrauterine growth restriction, placental disease, abdominal cysts, abdominal wall defect, liver disease, tuberose sclerosis complex, congenital hydrocephalus, and fetal spina bifida. The program will also include a topic update on novel treatments including fetal cardiac intervention and fetoscopic approach to gastroschisis.

Objectives
  1. Discuss recent advancement in the treatment of common fetal conditions that are amenable to fetal surgery.
  2. Describe the evidence that currently exists for the practice of fetal intervention.
  3. Identify current knowledge gaps that limit broader application of fetal surgery
  4. Characterize innovative approaches currently used in the study of fetal intervention.
  5. Review the indications, outcomes and future directions in congenital heart disease diagnosis and research.
  6. Discuss the advances in diagnostics technology, including medical imaging for the fetus and genetic therapies.

Registration

The Chicago Institute for Fetal Health is committed to open access. This year, we’re introducing a flexible fee structure to support accessibility and inclusion. These updates are designed to sustain a high-impact, mission-aligned event that prioritizes equitable access to education and professional connection in fetal health.

Your presence is what matters most. Our top priority is ensuring broad participation across disciplines and communities, and we are committed to making this event as accessible as possible.

Registration is required, but complimentary by default.

If you're able, you may select a registration tier that helps offset event expenses and supports access for others. A suggested fee of $50 helps cover meals, materials, and CME processing.

We are deeply grateful for your participation - your attendance, engagement, and the diversity of voices in the room are the true measures of this event’s success.
