20th Annual Midwest Hospital Medicine Conference

This educational initiate was developed to provide a forum for reviewing the multitude of advances applicable to the practice of hospitalists medicine. The meeting is designed to facilitate a discussion of the latest multidisciplinary techniques of hospitalists.

1. Assess current challenges and opportunities for hospital-based healthcare professionals
2. Articulate an evidence-based approach to sepsis
3. Identify common symptoms and signs of substance withdrawal, strategies to manage withdrawal, and treatment options for substance use disorders
4. Summarize the most relevant and potentially practice-changing clinical research related to hospital medicine from the past year
5. Describe current strategies in perioperative management

The Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
