Overview
The focus this year will be on the multi-disciplinary approach to evaluation, care and intervention for a spectrum of congenital diseases including TTTS, vasa previa, conjoined twins, craniofacial disease, cleft lip and palate, currarino syndrome, micrognathia, omphalocele-exstrophy-imperforate anus-spinal defects (OEIS), caudle regression, vein of galen malformation, fetal central nervous system vascular malformations, spina bifida, and neuraxial disorders. The program will also include a topic update on novel treatment for genetic syndromes, including ectodermal dysplasia and cystic fibrosis, neonatal cardiac surgery, fetal cardiac intervention and genetic abnormalities in congenital heart disease.

Objectives
  1. Discuss recent advancement in the treatment of common fetal conditions that are amenable to fetal surgery.
  2. Describe the evidence that currently exists for the practice of fetal intervention.
  3. Identify current knowledge gaps that limit broader application of fetal surgery.
  4. Characterize innovative approaches currently used in the study of fetal intervention.
  5. Review the indications, outcomes and future directions in congenital heart disease diagnosis and research.
  6. Discuss the advances in diagnostics technology, including medical imaging for the fetus and genetic therapies.
