Overview
This is a free virtual CME to help you stay connected and meet your CME requirements during this unprecedented time. Join Northwestern and guest faculty as they address the gap in early recognition and diagnosis of neuro-ophthalmologic disease, via live case presentations, high-level didactic lectures and panel discussion.


Objectives
  1. Discuss and apply diagnostic criteria for idiopathic intracranial hypertension, optic neuropathy, migraine with aura, thyroid eye disease, cranial neuropathies.
  2. Explain how to diagnose and manage optic nerve swelling as result of variety of etiologies.
  3. Demonstrate when expedited evaluation in the ER or consultation with neuroophthalmology is required for patients with neuro-ophthalmic complaints.
  4. Review new monoclonal antibody treatments for management of giant cell arteritis and thyroid eye disease.
  5. Consult allied healthcare professionals (neurosurgery, nutritionists, low vision specialists) appropriately in the management of patients with idiopathic intracranial hypertension and other neuro-ophthalmic disorders.
