Overview
Patient data and referral patterns tell us community practitioners may be unaware of the recent advances in the diagnosis, treatment and management of Orthopaedics, Mental Health, and Infectious Disease. It can be difficult for the busy practitioner to take time away from their practice to learn what is new, including the recent changes in the guidelines on Orthopaedics, Mental Health, and Infectious Disease. This activity aims to provide such practice guideline updates and review recently published clinical trial data.

Objectives
  1. Recognize the various ways preterm births can impact the health of adults long term.
  2. Describe the approach to work-up and initial treatment for Infectious Disease cases.
  3. Explain how to identify appropriate indications for bright light therapy to improve functioning and reduce mood symptoms among patients with major mood disorders.
  4. Identify the signs and symptoms of PTSD/psychosis in diverse patient populations.
  5. Identify underlying causes of common musculoskeletal disease presenting symptoms to the outpatient clinic.
  6. Describe how to characterize subtypes of delirium and review pathophysiology.
