Addressing Implicit Bias in Academic Medicine

Occurs every 3 months on the 5th day of each month starting on 9/5/2022 at 12:00 PM for the next 10 months ending on 7/5/2023 at 12:00 PM

This series is a 1.5 hour workshop for new Feinberg faculty that will allow faculty to become familiar with implicit bias and microaggressions and explore the roles of both of these in academic medicine including patient care, teaching and workplace interactions,.

1. Define implicit bias
2. Provide skills to help recognize and move beyond bias in academic medicine
3. Enhance Feinberg Faculty's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion for our patients, trainees and colleagues
4. Examine the impact of implicit bias and microaggressions in healthcare

The Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
