Overview
This course will raise awareness, provide review and update residents, ophthalmologists, optometrists and primary care physicians on herpetic eye disease, dry eye, neoplastic ocular surface disease and cornea trauma.

Objectives
  1. Describe ocular surface lesions.
  2. Identify warning signs of malignant potential to diagnose and treat ocular surface lesions.
  3. Review the contemporary paradigms in diagnosis and treatment of dry eye, including the potential relationship to systemic disease.
  4. Explain the key settings and findings that help differentiate sterile and infectious keratitis.
  5. Classify the various presentations of herpes zoster and simplex keratitis.
  6. Identify the various forms of disease and employ the landmark studies that form the basis of treatment.
  7. Discuss the various forms of corneal ectasia and how imaging can help distinguish these diseases.
  8. Implement early intervention with cross-linking to prevent serious vision loss.
  9. Describe a step-wise approach to the diagnosis and management of corneal trauma.
