The Illinois Perinatal Quality Collaborative (ILPQC) OB & Neonatal Face-to-Face Meeting welcomes state and national leaders in perinatal quality and provides hospitals and key stakeholders opportunities to learn quality improvement strategies to implement Evidence Based Practice in perinatal care.

This virtual meeting will be held over 2 days. Attendees are welcome to participate in one or both days:

Day 1: OB Face-to-Face - Wednesday, May 26th, from 8:30am - 3:30pm.

OB topics include: Promoting Vaginal Birth (PVB), Birth Equity (BE), and Mothers and Newborns affected by Opioids (MNO-OB) Sustainability.

OB Day Breakout Session Topics (No CME):

  • MNO-OB: Strategies for Attaining and Sustaining Optimal OUD Care
  •  PVB: Making Progress on Key Strategies
  •  BE: Getting Started

Day 2: Neonatal Face-to-Face - Thursday, May 27th, from 8:15am - 3:00pm

Neonatal topics include: Babies Antibiotic Stewardship Improvement Collaborative (BASIC), equitable care, and Mothers and Newborns affected by Opioids-Neonatal (MNO-Neo) Sustainability.

  Neonatal Day Breakout Session Topics (No CME):

  •  MNO-Neonatal: Help! I feel like we just got going with MNO
  •  Addressing disparities in infant mortality
  •  Navigating your BASIC data- how to optimize and streamline data collection
  •  Leveraging your EMR to Achieve BASIC Success

  •  Key Components of Neonatal Early Onset Sepsis Calculator (NEOSC)- Optimizing Team Communication & Clinical Monitoring

Objectives
  1. Define strategies to engage Obstetric /Neonatal providers and staff to optimize care and improve outcomes for mothers and newborns through the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  2. List key strategies for one or more of the following quality improvement initiatives: Promoting Vaginal Birth, Birth Equity and/or Babies Antibiotic Stewardship Improvement Collaborative.
