Objectives
  1. Distinguish cancer care for adolescents and young adults (AYA) from adult and pediatric cancer care, meeting their unique needs.
  2. Perform care and treatment of AYAs with the extension of knowledge, skills, and application of tools and guidelines.
  3. Adapt provider communication to support discourse with AYAs.
  4. Formulate the offering of timely fertility preservation options and involved costs.
  5. Interpret how body image affects sense of self.
  6. Employ sexual health discussions.
  7. Recognize advances in disease management and clinical trial participation.
  8. Manage barriers to treatment adherence.
  9. Illustrate optimal symptom burden management.
  10. Explain the benefits and risks of cannabis as a therapeutic and/or recreational substance.
  11. Develop AYA psychosocial transitioning from one care setting to the next.
  12. Receive in person patient reported outcomes.
  13. Respond to AYA psychosocial needs.
