Overview
The Analytics Network is a learning community based at Lurie Children's. Its goal is to support, create, and drive a culture of critical exploration and discovery of cutting edge analytics that will enable Lurie Children's to provide the best care possible and carry out leading research in the future. The Analytics Network will: (1) Support the development of and drive the pathway towards precision medicine and other innovative analytic approaches to medical care (2) Develop staff and faculty skills that will enable and strengthen participants? efforts in this area, with a particular focus on advancing the capacity for computational thinking, critical assessment and application of methods and approaches (3) Promote interdisciplinary collaboration with relevant and interested pediatric faculty and staff (4) Encourage/enable participants to embrace all forms of data (structured, unstructured) (5) Encourage/enable participants to embrace all methodological approaches in the emerging fields of data science and bioinformatics

Objectives
  1. Develop a pathway towards precision medicine and other innovative analytic approaches to medical care
  2. Practice analytic skills that will focus on computational thinking, critical assessment, and application of analytic methods and approaches
  3. Collaborate with other disciplines and faculty across organizations
  4. Use data in everyday practice and illustrate the importance of all forms of data (structured, unstructured)
  5. Express and translate the importance of embracing all methodological approaches in the emerging fields of data science and bioinformatics to other researchers, staff, students and clinicians
