Overview
A one-day conference designed for healthcare providers interested in learning more about various adolescent related topics affecting the phyical and mental health of our tweens and teens.

Objectives
  1. Summarize the trends in tobacco and marijuana products and their use.
  2. Review the association between somatic complaints and anxiety in adolescents.
  3. Develop strategies to address adolescent anxiety in a primary care setting.
  4. Review common pediatric gynecologic disorders and decide when a referral to specialist is warranted.
  5. Review of diagnosis and treatment of common vulvar complaints in the prepubertal girl.
  6. Identify categories of acne vulgaris and recognize mimickers of acne vulgaris.
  7. Discuss guidelines for treatment based on the category of acne vulgaris.
  8. Define key terminology related to gender and sexuality.
  9. Differentiate between developmental trajectories of gender dysphoria in children and adolescents.
