Overview
The OncoSET Symposium will provide healthcare professionals with state-of-the-art information related to significant new advances in precision medicine for cancer and the evolving standard of personalized cancer care. The program will focus on emerging technologies used to generate large scale genomic data, and the steps to filter, evaluate and apply this knowledge to determine the most effective course of treatment for each patient. Symposium participants will discover new approaches to personalized cancer therapy based on current research and patient-specific genetic patterns. Participants will examine technological advances, such as artificial intelligence, challenges in genomic sequencing and molecular analysis, and germline genotype and pharmacogenetics. In addition, participants will develop strategies for translating advances in precision medicine to their clinical practice.

Objectives
  1. Define and discuss the use of clinical genomics and its use in the personalization of treatment for patients with both solid tumors, and hematologic malignancies.
  2. Identify emerging approaches to acquiring and analyzing genomic information.
  3. Describe discuss, and illustrate the roles of genomic sequencing, molecular analysis with standard pathology, precisely targeted treatments and clinical trial, and the benefits they confer on patients.
  4. Define both the challenges and the opportunities faced in the implementation of genomic sequencing in the treatment of cancer patients.
  5. Analyze and examine incidental germline information and apply the findings in the treatment of patients within the framework of precision medicine.
