Overview

The format of the 13th Annual Heart Failure Holiday Symposium will be cased-based. 3. Describe the evaluation and treatment approach to various cardiomyopathies including those which are heritable.
  4. Describe the surgical and percutaneous options for patients with heart failure.
  5. Debate the various options for acute mechanical circulatory support.
  6. Explore various surgical and interventional therapies for heart failure.
  7. Explain the basics of how to care for patients with Ventricular Assist Devices or heart transplant in the community setting.
  8. Recognize shared care synergies of the multidisciplinary team across the continuum of heart failure care which contribute to optimal patient outcomes.
  9. Describe special challenges of older adults with heart failure.
  10. Describe challenges regarding transitioning patients with heart failure from one setting to another (e.g., hospital to home).
