Overview
A one-day conference designed for healthcare providers interested in learning more about typical and a-typical behavior and development in our young children.

Objectives
  1. Recognize the signs of an irritable infant and determine the causes of the fussiness and if a referral to a specialist is warranted.
  2. Discuss the approaches to treating the child with downs syndrome , including new recommendations for advancing their developmental milestones.
  3. Explain the developmental and behavioral concerns in the child ASD and the dilemmas in screening.
  4. Describe the developmental and behavioral issues in the child with congenital heart disease.
  5. Recognize the reasons to be alarmed when speech and language is delayed and when to be concerned.
