Overview
A one-day conference designed for healthcare providers interested in learning more about various pulmonology topics affecting our younger population. This symposium will highlight topics such as cystic fibrosis, sleep medicine, asthma, muscular weakness disorders and lung disease as wellchronic vent management and primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD).

Objectives
  1. Review updates in the diagnostic and therapeutic approach to cystic fibrosis.
  2. Discuss the symptomatic profile of a patient with primary ciliary dyskinesia and review pros and cons of various diagnostic approaches.
  3. Discuss the complex needs of children and adolescents who require chronic non-invasive and traditional ventilatory support and changes/advances in support modalities.
  4. Offer support and management tips for the child with sleep apnea.
  5. Review sleep disordered breathing and its clinical implications and complications.
  6. Review the high risk asthma population and the treatment challenges and approaches to optimizing care.
