Overview
Learners will be able to demonstrate the indications for and value provided by innovative surgical treatment of spinal disorders. Invited experts in the delivery of treatment for spinal disease will provide current data in regards to the value, efficacy, and outcomes from surgical treatment of spinal disease.

Objectives
  1. Review the changing demographic of the U.S. population and the projected incidence and prevalence of spinal disease in the future.
  2. Discuss the value of diverse surgical interventions for spinal disease.
  3. Demonstrate the value of minimally invasive surgical treatment for spondylosis.
  4. Describe emerging philosophies in sports related spine injuries.
  5. Identify innovations that may impact spine surgeons.
  6. Review measures that may assist in maintaining spinal column health.
  7. Apply technological advances that impact surgical treatment.
  8. Utilize the medical management of spinal disease.
