Target Audience

This full-day conference is perfect for healthcare providers who want to learn more about
cardiac issues or have patients with a heart-related condition. Several topics will address
common office concerns such as syncope and murmurs. In addition, a discussion
on preventive cardiology and the steps to avoid complications, especially in high-risk
populations, will be featured. The breakouts in the afternoon will be case-based and
interactive and one session allows you to submit your questions in advance.

  1. Define and review syncope in the pediatric population
  2. Discuss the screening approaches for dyslipidemias
  3. Review the comorbidities associated with pediatric overweight and obesity
  4. Define the interstage risk in the Single Ventricle population
  5. Describe the intersection of congenital heart disease (CHD) with normal pediatric care and coordination of care needs
  6. Provide an overview of pediatric cardiac murmurs and review examples of murmurs
  7. Review the basics of Kawasaki Disease (KD)
  8. Discuss the updated AHA Guidelines on KD
  9. Review common presentations of neonatal cardiac emergencies
